Accurate information on demand

LoranTrack gives everyone in the supply chain confidence from knowing that they can determine the location and status of a particular shipment or equipment asset in real-time. Customers can also identify:

  • Estimated time of arrival of each shipment.

  • Availability of chassis and generator sets with their location and maintenance schedule.

  • The precise location of each shipment or asset displayed on a terrestrial or nautical GIS map.

Real-Time  Exception Alert

LoranTrack proactively monitors important shipment conditions and automatically notifies customers when and where exceptions or status changes occur. Alerts include, but are not limited to:

  • Status changes, e.g. from full to empty after a container’s goods have been unloaded.

  • Shipment delays.

  • GEO fence violations if the shipment is transported outside its assigned route (either because it has been stolen, left behind, or loaded onto the wrong chassis).

  • Security violations, i.e., if a container is opened by an unauthorized party.

  • Cargo integrity violations:

    • If the container is jolted, tilted or dropped beyond specified tolerance levels.

    • If the container is contaminated by water, radiation or chemical agents.

    • If the temperature inside the container deviates from the set temperature.


Tracking information is proactively sent to customers using their preferred method of electronic delivery e.g. hosted website at Lorantec or their own website, email, paging device, SMS or XML/EDI. Lorantec’s web-based system enables customers to configure their own profile, which includes selecting update frequency and corresponding event type, parties to be notified and method of notification.

Complete Dock-to-Dock Audit Trail

LoranTrack provides an audit trail accessible via the Internet that enables customers to verify the complete history of a particular shipment, including a date and time-stamped log of any exceptions that occurred during shipment. It also maintains an electronic manifest, which enables Customs agents to quickly and easily verify shipment integrity.
